How we use your email
Last updated 6 November 2026 (Google Analytics added)
Payment Clock is a free payment-deadline calculator, run by Cem Kurtaraner in the UK. This page explains what happens when you give us your email address, and what our optional visitor statistics collect. The dates you enter in the calculator always stay in your browser.
What we collect and why
| “Email me the dates” | Your email address and the dates on screen. We use them once, to work out your deadlines and send them to you. We don’t keep a copy. This is a service you asked for, so we rely on our legitimate interest in providing it. |
|---|---|
| Launch news | Your email address, and when you confirmed. We only add you after you press the confirm button in our email. We use it to tell you when project tracking is ready, and nothing else. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. |
We never sell your email address or share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who handles it for us
- Brevo (France, EU) sends our emails and keeps the launch-news list.
- Vercel (USA) runs this website. Like any web host, it briefly processes your IP address to deliver pages and stop abuse. Transfers are covered by Vercel’s standard data protection terms.
- Zoho (EU data centre) hosts our inbox, if you reply to us.
- Google (USA) runs Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
- Dates emails: we don’t store them. Brevo keeps a delivery log for a limited time to check emails arrive and to stop misuse.
- Launch news: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after project tracking launches, whichever comes first.
- An unconfirmed launch-news sign-up isn’t stored at all. The confirm link stops working after 7 days.
Your choices
Every launch-news email has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@paymentclock.co.uk. We’ll reply within a month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the calculator people use, so we can improve it. It only runs if you say yes in the cookie banner. If you say no, or ignore the banner, it never loads and no cookies are set.
If you say yes, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_… that last up to
2 years. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are (country or city), your device and
browser, and actions such as working out deadlines or downloading the calendar file. It never sees the dates you
enter or your email address. Google (USA) processes this for us under its data processing terms. We’ve turned
off advertising features and data sharing for Google’s own purposes, and we keep the data for 14 months.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We also remember your choice in your browser’s local storage, so we don’t ask again on every visit.
